I am a Peruvian Postdoctoral researcher at UNICAMP. I have a Ph.D in Theoretical Chemistry and Computational Modelling. I have worked in a research related to cell membrane glycation reaction, having an expertise in determination of transition states of chemical reactions using ab-initio methods. Now, I am working with the Hernandes Carvalho group which has an expertise in morphological and molecular research of prostate cancer biology. My work is focused on studying theoretically, molecular systems related to prostate cancer progression, evidenced experimentally previously. We are performing modeling and molecular dynamics simulations for determining the stability and dynamics of the molecular interactions of these systems, in order to explain their biological relevance and their assignment as pharmacological targets. The obtained results are also used for generating pharmacophore models which could be used as virtual screening filters of new ligand candidates for these targets. For all obtained approaches, we establish continuous feedback from experimental results of other members of the group.
